These include aspects such as mentorship, women mentorship, leadership roles, and career advancement. To develop further the study’s argument and deliver more understanding on mentorship opportunity and value in advancing women in organizational leadership roles; there are subsections on the importance of mentorship and how it has emerged as a key issue, why women still fall behind and mentoring in the digital era. Furthermore, the study discusses methodologies and instruments utilized in prior studies connected with how the methodology and instruments for this study were chosen. The literature review was conducted through a systematic review of peer-reviewed journal papers linked to this study, that were searched from electronic databases such as Google Scholar, ERIC, EBSCOhost, and ProQuest.
